Death By Tea

Death By Tea

Smash! Thud! The cup smashed and the body hit the floor. Lifeless. He died instantly at the scene, only poison was found with the middle aged man. A murder case. Detective Harbow was the one who had to question the only suspect, Matt Hall. Harbow got the case in her office, from the police station down the road. The agency she run was called "Detective's Union" and it solved cases from across the UK. Everyone knew that Detective's Union was the place to go for a good case to be solved. Harbow had solved over 50 cases just last year. She was the best detective going.

Detective Harbow got out of her 1950's Ford Mustang and went up to a house with a battered front door. She knocked on the front door and a man in his mid 20's opened it. He was wearing a grey hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms.
"I ain't talking to no police, got it!" Matt snarled as he saw the badge and tried to shut the door.
"I just need to ask a few questions!" Harbow snapped back, trying to push the battered door more open.
"Get off my property!" Matt shouted and passers by just stopped and stared.
"Did you know Luke Tamsworth?" Harbow asked calmly.
"Use to, until he turned his back on me. I had to get him back, so I killed him."
"Matt Hall, you're under arrest-" Harbow paused as Matt turned around and sprinted out of his back door.

After 20 minutes of chasing him through the woods, taking a left turn then a right turn and jumping over various logs more than 5 times, Detective Harbow finally caught him. Matt Hall was arrested for the murder of Luke Tamsworth. Harbow sent the police to look for more evidence and they found the same poison that killed Luke. Matt's statement said that he disguised himself as a waiter and slipped the poison into Luke's tea. He died instantly. And this was all because Luke got engaged to Matt's ex-girlfriend. Luke and Matt use to be best friends until Matt found out about Luke's engagement.

This story has been made into a short movie by me and my friend and I'm planning a sequel to the book, if anyone is interested.
