A Day At The Beach-Pinhead's POV

Everything had changed. A lot has happened in 10 years. People come and go. I spend most of my time in the old arcade playing the slot machines, I never use to. The arcade was an isolated building on an old pier on the sandy beach of Brighton. At one point I was in a freak show, I was only 16 and I was known by everyone as Pinhead. They were all scared of me.

One day, I was having another go at the slot machine when I saw a small girl enter the musty room. She was short, so she must've been about 6 or 7. She had short brown hair and vibrant blue eyes. She was on her own and walked cautiously to the claw grabber (better known as the lucky dipper) and she saw a brown fluffy teddy bear. It took the girl three goes until she gave up and walked away. It started to heavy rain and thunder. The girl came back and I hid behind the machine. The machine was a tall as a mountain compared to me and I still managed to stay hidden. I came out from the machine so the girl could get her toy. She grabbed it and backed away. I suppose that's what everyone does. She fell down a hole onto the beach and I saw her lying there on the silky sand. I panicked. I grabbed her to safety.

As I walked back to the arcade, I smiled to the girl and waved goodbye to her. Why did I save her? I saved her because I couldn't loose her again. She doesn't know me, but I know her. She looks just like her mother that made me lose it. It was the girl's mother that made me lose my daughter. Today was the first time I saw my little girl. My Angelina. I saw her again, a year later with her mother. Her mother has another man there and Angelina was calling him "Daddy". My world plummeted as I heard her call another man "Daddy". I suppose her mother was ashamed that I was Angelina's dad. They're so normal and I'm a freak. Angelina caught my eye and waved at me. As I waved back I wondered, how long until the man who has pins in his head, will be recognized as her father? How long until I got called "Daddy?" When would I see her again?"

This is based on a short film I watched in English called 'A day at the beach' and one of the characters is called Pinhead.
